Goal: answer all emails same day as received. Try early in the am, or late in the pm. Just takes half an hour. Good disclipine, and doing so keeps you writing, not the artificial thing of academic  papers, but the inside stuff from the braino and heart.

Remember, school papers are just talking about something, in written words, not spoken words. I suggest you write all papers as if they were speeches, and read them aloud to make sure they are punchy and interesting.

George

PS--
You ARE an expert, in LIVING. Otherwise you couldn't have been such a good counselor to young students.

Stephen Austin ( probably started town of Austin also) was a mention from History Channel Modern Marvels segment about Texas Rangers.

I think you will just rock in grad school. Remember to audit as many relationable or just fun courses as you can while you are there, at least to study the lecturer to see whether that person has the skills to mesmerize you with their appearance, sound and timbre of voice, vocabulary, knowledge, and delivery style, dress, manners. You can be learning all that in addition to your actual course content. You can be writing an article or novela about Going to School as an Oldster or outsider, i.e. some one older than the actual students or and professors and assistant professors. Should be fun.

You really fit the mold for a radio or tv broadcaster or personality.
