I first came up with these thoughts to include in my xmas report
which I enclose in xmas card. On second reading, it appeared too
dreary, when xmas is expected to be upbeat and cheery. With second
or third reading and thinking, it was an actual product of my mind,
so I should acknowledge it. You seem to be more open to just random
shafts of mental light, so I shared it with you. This could be seen
as a compliment here.

Fine mind here. I read as much of his work as possible. He taught at Cal Tech in Pasadena. Worked on atom bomb project in
Los Alamos. Translated a Mayan Codex tablet from scratch. Super guy.
His daughter lives in Altadena now. Physical dance of life, using mind instead of body: Mathematics........
Happy  Holidays
I lost my cell phone somplace in house. I visited daughter and new baby yesterday. She baby sat me, while I bought new cell phone which I am now charging up.

Send me again your address, home and cell phone numbers so I can up
date my information.

Good idea: just write for yourself as email or literary folder using  word processing program. Remember to SAVE every 10 minutes, then print it
out, gradually. Add spice parts: chapter divisions numbers and names,
page numbers, photos, references, and VOILA!!!  you have your first
book, just for yourself. If you want to , you can publish it out for
the rest of us to share, and make some money off the sale of it.....

I recommend a book, paper back, The Power of Now, Eckhard
Tolle. Good modern dissertation about practicing the 'no mind'
Buddha exercise, to experience that one is more than one's mind and
excessive agendizing and chronic self talk.

Letting go of chronic anger is one of the benefits.

Hey! You aren't dead. I was going to email your Brother.
NY must make you depressed. Old conflicts in family.
You sounded depressed in my phone message. I haven't mastered
yet my new phone which for some reason is frightening to me.
Will take it one tiny step at a time.

Not too soon to:
Redo your resume for another job. Network your friends.
Re negotiate your job as permanent part time, so you can
hid out at home and write 4 hours a day.
Prepare for retirement: How do you plan to spend the day,
when you don't go to work, have no money except Social
Security, etc. Medicare and Medicare Supplimental and Drug
plans will help with the decaying bod, but you must work now
to set up a schedule to keep on moving and learning.
I wish someone had told me this early on. I think your brother sort of
knows this.

You need to develop your personal analysist to keep tabs on you.
The little therapist living in your forehead, who can repeat
after your rationalizations, 'and how is that working for you?'
( tee, hee, hee).  I do this all the time.

From John
>Sorry I've been incommunicado. Hope you are having a good week!

Glad you are back on track. Now you can write a chapter on Depression.......

Try out Twitter. I watched TV interview with its founder and
developer with Charlie Rose on PBS.
Short pithy paragraphs and resources to find those of others on any
subject. Good for journalism and general talk and read.

now you have the Japanese Buddha book, and George has the
Tibetan Buddha book.
Helped me get through the day.
Raining here. May go outside or not. Not sure yet.

Most families doing some tricky holiday cooking this season.

School is out here. Finally... no more early am calls.
I need to get some gas and more cat food at Costco.

I remember as a child in Texas, the big super market was PigglyWiggly.

Very few people shopping here. Most are home saving money.

You might consider making a WEB page of general advice for students.
Then you could help people not going to your actual school.
Best advice I remember was, get a lot of sleep, take a lot of
vitamins and suppliments and get exercise daily.

Suzzane Sommers, the babe, is 61 now,
and looks good. She takes 61 vitamin and suppliment and mineral tabs a day.
Talk to one strange, i.e. not known yet by you, person a day. Get two pair
of comfortable shoes, one for feet, one for drying out from last wear.
Don't fall drunk or asleep in a driveway. A gal I knew who always for
some reason smelled like liniment, lost her brother who was, while
asleep after being drunk, run over and killed in a frat driveway. College can be dangerous.

For Gonzo Journalism, try Hunter Thompson. I have three of his books
awaiting my reading. Math is the music for the dance of physical life.....
